Chapter 135

Nathaniel didn't give Harrison permission to leave, but she refused to stay. She twisted her wrist, trying to break free from his iron grip.

His long fingers only tightened, dragging her forward against her will.

"Nathaniel, stop this! Let me go! Where are you taking me?"

His powerful strides forced Harrison to nearly trip as she struggled to match his pace.

He hauled her out of the spa and shoved her into his Bentley Continental. Thirty minutes later, the car screeched to a halt outside Falcon Enterprises' headquarters. He yanked her through the glass doors.

The tech department was working overtime that evening. Employees reaching for coffee froze when they saw their formidable CEO storm in with the breathtaking Harrison.

Fatigue vanished instantly as jaws dropped. "Mr. Falcon?"

Nathaniel ignored them completely, pulling Harrison into his private office.

The whispers exploded immediately. "Is that Mrs. Falcon? Good lord, she's gorgeous!"

Someone snapped a photo that spread through company chats like wildfire.

"Isn't she the one who got Mr. Falcon summoned to campus after that brawl?"

"Far more stunning than Isabella."

"Well, that's why she's Mrs. Falcon and Isabella is just...Isabella."

"Looks like trouble again. Mr. Falcon's furious. She's about to get an earful."

"Match made in heaven! I ship them so hard!"

Inside the office, Nathaniel threw Harrison against the wall. He ripped at his tie with violent frustration. "Harrison, explain yourself!"

He demanded answers.

Harrison felt trapped, confused how she'd been caught when he was supposed to be romancing Isabella tonight.

Her silence infuriated him. He loomed over her, his breathing ragged with sarcasm dripping from every word. "Did you take Beatrice out for ice cream?"

Listing her supposed crimes.

Harrison denied instantly. "We didn't have any ice cream."

Watching her lie so blatantly made his chest heave. "Did you take Beatrice for a spa treatment?"

"I..."

"Harrison, I've clearly underestimated you. What else are you hiding? First you can't behave, now you're corrupting Beatrice and Rosalind too!"

His roar made her delicate frame tremble. She lifted her chin defiantly, meeting his glare head-on.

"Why are you yelling? I haven't said a word about you and Isabella. So what if I took them to the spa?"

She actually dared to fight back!

Nathaniel slammed her against the floor-to-ceiling window, his muscular body pinning her in place. One hand closed around her throat, eyes blazing with fury. "Harrison, you're begging for punishment!"

Panic surged as Harrison gasped for air, clawing at his hand. "Release me..."

Nathaniel studied her angelic face, rage boiling hotter. How dare she disrupt his life and emotions?

And not an ounce of remorse!

His grip tightened. Harrison's vision blurred. Was he really going to choke her to death?

She knew he didn't love her, but did he hate her this much?

Harrison refused to die like this. Desperate, she rose on her toes and pressed her lips softly against his in a sudden kiss.

Nathaniel's entire body stiffened in shock.

Her warm, pliant lips lingered, then parted slightly as she kissed him again, tracing the outline of his cold mouth.
