Chapter 88

Nathaniel didn't look up from the documents. "Proceed."

"Ten years back, Vincent was convicted for child molestation, abuse, and attempted rape."

The pen in Nathaniel's hand froze mid-air, its tip digging into the paper. His head snapped up to meet Dominic's gaze, shock evident in his features. "And Harrison was the victim?"

Dominic gave a grim nod. "Correct, Mr. Falcon. Vincent is pure filth."

Nathaniel's chiseled features turned to stone, his expression sharpening into something dangerous. He'd suspected some dark history between Harrison and Vincent, but nothing this horrific.

A sudden ringtone shattered the tense silence. His phone.

Nathaniel answered to hear Gabrielle's panicked voice. "Mr. Falcon! Harrison's in danger!"

His grip tightened on the device. "What happened?"

"She took a check to meet that monster Vincent. I followed her to The Velvet Lounge, but when I got inside, she'd vanished. He took her!"

What the hell?

Nathaniel was on his feet instantly, storming out of the study. He threw open the bedroom door - empty.

Gone. While he'd been occupied, she'd slipped away to face Vincent alone.

"Why would she take a check to meet him?"

"Because Vincent has a photo of her," Gabrielle rushed to explain.

A photo? The one sent today?

Nathaniel's gaze landed on a box on the nightstand. He flipped it open to reveal a single photograph inside.

He picked it up. One glance was all it took before his fingers clenched around the image, crumpling it in his fist. His handsome face darkened with a terrifying rage.

That bastard! Why hadn't she told him? She could have come to him.

Then something caught his attention. The young girl in the photo... she looked familiar. He'd seen her before.

His ice-cold eyes widened with realization. This was the girl who'd saved him in that cave years ago!

But Isabella had always claimed that role.

Had he been wrong all this time? Was Harrison his actual savior?

Nathaniel's mind reeled. He'd been half-dead back then, barely conscious. Never got a clear look at her face. By morning, she was gone.

So was it Harrison who'd pulled him from death's door? Had she been his mystery girl?

"Mr. Falcon! Are you listening?" Gabrielle's voice yanked him back to the present.

Nathaniel blinked, refocusing. Gabrielle sounded desperate now.

"Sir, you need to send people after Harrison immediately. She's back in that animal's clutches. You have to find her and bring her home!"

Right. Finding Harrison was priority one.

Once he had her safe, he'd get answers. If she was indeed the girl from that night...

If he'd abandoned her to that monster, left her to suffer alone... He'd never forgive himself.

How terrified must she have been?

He'd promised to take her with him. Promised he wanted her by his side.

Nathaniel's eyes burned crimson with fury as he locked gazes with Dominic. His voice was razor-sharp. "Pull all security footage. Track Vincent's car. Lock down every exit from Willowbrook. I want him cornered - he's not escaping this time!"
