Chapter 708

Henry finally steadied his breathing and spoke in a measured tone. "The results have arrived."

He extended his hand, and the butler placed the sealed paternity report into his palm.

Isabella shot to her feet, her gaze locked onto the envelope with barely contained dread. "Is Arabella truly our daughter?"

She had never warmed to Arabella. People claimed mothers and daughters shared an unbreakable bond, yet Isabella felt nothing but cold detachment from the girl.

It unsettled her.

She couldn't shake the suspicion that Arabella wasn't truly theirs.

"The DNA results just came in. I know how much this weighs on you—I didn’t even glance at them before bringing them straight here," Henry said.

When it came to their daughter, he understood Isabella perfectly. She had nearly died giving birth—there was no chance they would ever take their child’s identity lightly.

"Then stop stalling and open it!" Isabella demanded, her voice sharp with urgency. "I need to see the truth."

Henry gave a slow nod. "Very well."

His fingers moved to break the seal.

Just then, a shrill voice cut through the tense silence outside the door. "Where is Mrs. Lancaster? I demand to see her immediately!"

Arabella had arrived.

The receptionist blocked her path. "Do you have an appointment?"

"An appointment?" Arabella scoffed, her voice dripping with disdain. "Do you even know who I am? I'm the daughter of Henry Lancaster—the wealthiest man in the world! Since when do I need an appointment to see my own mother? Move aside!"

The receptionist held her ground. "Ms. Lancaster, I understand, but your parents are currently in a private meeting. Please wait here while I inform them of your arrival."

Arabella stood frozen outside, her pulse racing as she processed the receptionist’s words.

Her father was here too.

What were they discussing? Were they reviewing the DNA results? Was her entire life about to unravel?

The thought of exposure sent a wave of terror through her.

This was Henry Lancaster—the titan of industry—and Isabella Lancaster, CEO of Lancaster Enterprises.

She couldn’t let them discover the truth.

Most importantly, she could never allow Harrison to reclaim her rightful place. Henry and Isabella must never learn that Harrison was their true daughter.

Arabella shoved past the receptionist. "I don’t need permission to see my own parents!"

"Ms. Lancaster, you can’t just—"

As the commotion escalated outside, Henry turned to Isabella. "Arabella’s here."

Isabella didn’t look up from the report. "Ignore her. Open it. Now. I need to know if she’s really ours."

Henry exhaled sharply. "Alright."

He tore open the envelope and pulled out the DNA results.

Isabella’s eyes narrowed as she scanned the document.

Then—

BANG!

The door burst open.

Arabella had forced her way inside.

After all, she was a Lancaster—the receptionist hadn’t dared to physically restrain her.

"Dad! Mom!" she cried, feigning distress.

The receptionist bowed her head. "I apologize. Ms. Lancaster insisted—"

Isabella didn’t even glance at Arabella.

She stood motionless, staring at the report in her hands—the irrefutable proof that Arabella was, without question, their biological daughter.
