Chapter 334
Had Nathaniel realized that Isabella had been impersonating Harrison all this time?
Nathaniel scanned the area. He'd been waiting for what felt like hours, but Harrison never appeared. With a resigned exhale, he turned on his heel and walked away.
Isabella stepped in front of Sebastian, blocking his path. "Sebastian, now that Nathaniel is completely obsessed with Harrison, you have to help me."
Sebastian said nothing.
Inside, Isabella's nerves were fraying. She knew Sebastian had always been drawn to prodigies. Now that he knew Harrison was one, she couldn't shake the fear—would his loyalty shift?
No. She wouldn't allow it.
Without hesitation, Isabella gripped Sebastian's sleeve and launched into a venomous tirade.
"Sebastian, don't be fooled! Harrison might seem brilliant, but she's been manipulating you and Nathaniel this whole time. She only cares about the attention from the Global Scholars Forum. She's calculated. She knows exactly how to play men."
Sebastian remained silent for a beat before meeting her gaze. "What do you want me to do?"
A cold, predatory gleam flashed in Isabella's eyes. "Sebastian, I want Harrison gone."
Meanwhile, Harrison, Lucas, and the others returned to the Silver Pines Hotel.
"Where's Nathaniel? Why didn't he come back with us?" Lucas asked.
"Oh, his girlfriend showed up. He's probably with her now," one of the seniors replied.
Lucas paused. "Nathaniel has a girlfriend?"
"Yeah, Isabella—the principal ballerina. You've seen her perform, right? Elegant, porcelain skin, moves like a swan."
"Figures someone like him would have someone extraordinary."
"Right now, they're probably lost in each other. Let's not interrupt."
Lucas moved closer to Harrison, smiling. "Is Isabella really that stunning? To me, Harrison outshines everyone."
Harrison smiled faintly but stayed silent.
Another girl chimed in, "Beauty's subjective. Nathaniel probably thinks Isabella is perfection, just like you think Harrison is."
"Isabella's glamorous, but Harrison has that cool, untouchable aura. Depends on what a man prefers."
Laughter and chatter filled the air, but Harrison didn't join in. Right now, Nathaniel was likely wrapped up in Isabella.
Soon, everyone dispersed to their rooms.
Lucas turned to Harrison. "Rest for a bit. We'll grab lunch later."
Harrison nodded. "Sure."
She unlocked her door and stepped inside. Just then, her phone rang—Nathaniel's distinct, melodic tone.
Nathaniel was calling.
Harrison reached for it, but a sudden chill prickled her spine. Someone was behind her.
She whirled around, but before she could react, a shadowy figure lunged from behind the door. A blunt force struck the back of her skull.
Darkness swallowed her. She crumpled to the carpet, unconscious.
Her phone clattered to the floor, the call accidentally answered. Nathaniel's deep, urgent voice crackled through the speaker.
"I waited for you. Where are you? Harrison? Harrison!"
