Chapter 344
Harrison shivered violently in Sebastian's protective embrace.
Sebastian's arms tightened around her trembling form, his grip both firm and reassuring.
"Stay strong. This nightmare will end soon."
Harrison had vanished without a trace. Nathaniel had deployed every available resource to locate her.
Dominic arrived with crucial surveillance footage. "Mr. Falcon, we've identified their movements. They boarded a yacht together."
Nathaniel studied the video feed, his expression darkening as he watched Sebastian step onto the vessel where Harrison already waited.
His chiseled features hardened into a mask of barely controlled fury. "What business does Sebastian have in Wintervale?"
No one could provide an answer.
"Sir, I suspect Sebastian came specifically for Ms. Harrison," Dominic ventured cautiously.
"Have they located the yacht?" Nathaniel demanded sharply.
"Our teams are searching the coastline. The yacht...it detonated."
Nathaniel shot to his feet. "Detonated?"
Dominic confirmed grimly. "Yes. The vessel was rigged with explosives."
Isabella chose that moment to appear. "Sebastian must have planted those bombs! He wanted Harrison dead. I knew he despised her, but not to this extent. Now he's gone too. Do you think they both perished in the explosion?"
The surveillance conveniently omitted Isabella's presence - a deliberate omission she'd ensured.
With Harrison and Sebastian presumably dead, Isabella could conveniently pin everything on Sebastian, effectively clearing herself of suspicion.
Nathaniel didn't even glance at Isabella. His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "Search every inch of that coastline. I want proof - even if it's their corpses in body bags."
Dominic nodded. "Understood."
Without another word, Nathaniel turned to leave.
"Nathaniel!" Isabella grabbed his arm desperately. "Where are you going? I came all this way for you! Won't you spend time with me?"
Nathaniel's glacial tone offered no warmth. "I need to find Harrison and Sebastian."
"But they're likely dead."
"I refuse to believe that."
He wrenched his arm free and strode away, Dominic following closely.
The search for Harrison and Sebastian had begun.
Left standing alone, Isabella's face twisted in frustration. Nathaniel's concern for Harrison infuriated her.
It's pointless anyway. That yacht exploded at sea. Harrison must be dead.
As for Sebastian...
He'd brought this on himself by refusing to cooperate.
Nathaniel's search teams combed the coastline relentlessly but found nothing.
Studying a map, Nathaniel pointed. "What's this location?"
"Stonebridge," Dominic replied. "A remote fishing village along the coast."
Nathaniel paused, considering. "We're going there."
Upon arriving in Stonebridge, Dominic asked, "Do you really think Ms. Harrison and Sebastian could be here?"
Nathaniel froze suddenly, his sharp gaze locking onto something glinting in the sand - a single pearl earring.
He knelt, retrieving the delicate jewelry and cradling it in his palm.
Dominic's eyes widened in recognition. "That's Ms. Harrison's earring! We're close. They must be here."
The pearl felt cold against Nathaniel's skin as he clenched his fist around it, his body heat gradually warming the precious object.
His piercing gaze swept across the quiet village ahead, wondering if Harrison and Sebastian were hiding within.
He would find them.
