Chapter 667

Harrison sat frozen, her wide eyes locked on Nathaniel in utter disbelief. The words that had just left his lips echoed in her mind—he had openly declared his intention to become a homewrecker!

A man of Nathaniel's stature, power, and influence could have any woman he desired. Yet here he was, lowering himself to fight for another man's wife.

On the other end of the call, Oliver was equally stunned. The silence stretched between them, thick with tension.

"Anyway, I'm busy. Goodbye."

Without waiting for a reply, Nathaniel ended the call. His gaze shifted back to Harrison, who was still staring at him as if he'd grown a second head. A slow, roguish smirk curved his lips.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Harrison shivered, her long lashes fluttering. "You shouldn't have said those things to Oliver. It'll only complicate things."

Nathaniel reached out, his fingers tilting her chin up. "Every word I said was the truth. Why shouldn't I say it? Or are you worried my words will make things difficult for you? That Oliver will demand an explanation when you return?"

Harrison hesitated. "Both, actually."

Nathaniel's grin widened. "There's a simple solution to both problems."

"What?"

"Divorce Oliver and marry me."

Harrison studied him for a long moment before responding. "You should focus on your relationship with Isabella. The alliance between the Falcon and Lancaster families is inevitable."

Nathaniel opened his mouth to argue, but she cut him off.

"Mr. Falcon, Charlotte and Mrs. Victoria are still missing. Even though you've sent people to search, I don't want to discuss anything else right now. All I care about is their safe return. Can we agree on that?"

Nathaniel exhaled sharply but nodded. "Fine. Once Charlotte and my mother are back, we'll revisit this conversation."

Meanwhile, Charlotte and Victoria were locked in a dim, windowless room by the black-clad men. Trembling, Charlotte whimpered, "Where are we? I'm scared... I want Mommy..."

Victoria pulled the little girl close. "It's alright, Charlotte. We're still in Metropolia. My son will come for us soon."

Charlotte's voice was small but hopeful. "Really? Mr. Handsome will save us?"

Victoria nodded firmly. "Of course he will! So don't be afraid—I'm right here with you."

Charlotte's tiny shoulders relaxed slightly. "My Mommy will come too. She's the best."

Victoria glanced down at her legs—once crippled, now fully healed—and felt a pang of guilt.

She had never been kind to Harrison. Every encounter had been laced with warnings to stay away from her son. Yet Harrison had held no grudge, instead using her skills to restore Victoria's mobility.

Harrison truly was extraordinary.

Victoria smiled softly. "Yes, your mother is incredible."

"Mr. Handsome is amazing too. I want them to get married. They'd be perfect together."

Victoria blinked in surprise. "But isn't your mother already married? I heard she wed Oliver."

Charlotte shook her head. "No, she's been single for three years. It's just been me and her. I want Mr. Handsome to be my daddy..."

Victoria's breath caught. So Harrison had never married Oliver?

But why?

Their daughter was already so grown. What had kept them apart?

Confusion swirled in Victoria's mind. She would have to wait until they were free to tell Nathaniel and have him investigate.

Just then, the sound of a luxury car pulling up outside reached them. Moments later, the door swung open—and in walked Isabella.

The men in black were hers. With her current influence, hijacking Metropolia's airport surveillance and abducting Charlotte had been child's play.
