Chapter 290

Harrison studied Nathaniel with her piercing gaze, a playful smirk dancing on her lips.

"You always have influential men around you. If you come across someone suitable, maybe you could introduce me."

Nathaniel barely glanced at her before looking away, his expression unreadable. He loosened his tie with practiced ease, his voice cool and detached. "If I meet someone worthy, I'll consider it."

"Much obliged, Mr. Falcon."

The bathroom door swung open just then. Rosalind emerged quickly, her hair still damp. "Harrison, your turn to shower."

Without hesitation, Harrison disappeared into the bathroom.

Nathaniel was last to shower. When he finally entered, both women were already settled in bed.

Rosalind, who had been crying earlier, now appeared composed. She'd shared everything about Julian and Arabella with Harrison.

After hearing the full story, Harrison frowned. "Sounds like Arabella deliberately stole your fiancé. She's manageable, but Julian's the real issue. Do you still have feelings for him?"

Rosalind shook her head firmly. "None. I thought he was decent, but it was all manipulation and lies!"

Harrison exhaled in relief. Thank goodness Rosalind was over Julian. Arabella wasn't the problem - Julian was. She'd worried Rosalind might dwell on the past.

No one can push you around unless you let them.

This was the Rosalind Harrison knew - vibrant, brilliant, and resilient.

Harrison grasped Rosalind's hand. "Remember what you told me during my divorce?"

Rosalind grinned. "Screw Nathaniel!"

Harrison laughed. "Screw Julian!"

When Nathaniel stepped out of the bathroom, he found both women whispering together on the bed.

Rosalind murmured, "Screw Julian!"

Harrison echoed, "Screw Nathaniel!"

Nathaniel froze in the doorway, his face darkening instantly. So this was their private commentary?

Rosalind suddenly noticed Nathaniel standing there. She sat up abruptly. "Mr. Falcon, there's only one bed. How are we all sleeping?"

The sleeping arrangements demanded attention.

Nathaniel didn't respond immediately. He climbed onto the bed and settled beside Harrison.

Harrison bolted upright. "Mr. Falcon, what are you doing?"

Nathaniel met her gaze calmly. "I'm your brother, aren't I? Is it wrong to sleep beside my sister?"

Harrison muttered curses under her breath.

Absolute lunatic!

With only one bed, Nathaniel had three options: beside her, beside Rosalind, or between them.

Uncertain about Nathaniel and Rosalind's relationship, Harrison didn't want him near Rosalind - it would compromise her reputation. Shooting Nathaniel a glare, she reluctantly accepted the situation.

Nathaniel occupied the outer edge. Harrison tossed him a blanket before settling in the middle, curling closer to Rosalind while maintaining distance from him.

Nathaniel lay flat on his back, the blanket carrying Harrison's lingering fragrance.

Months had passed since their divorce. He'd spent most of that time with Isabella, and memories of Harrison had faded.

Yet that familiar scent instantly resurrected them all.

Nathaniel rested an arm behind his head, exhaustion forgotten, completely awake.
