Chapter 495
Eleanor and Alistair had finally arrived!
Rosalind was overwhelmed with emotion, tears streaming down her cheeks. She had been terrified beyond belief. One second later, and the precious life inside Harrison would have been lost. The mere thought made her legs tremble violently.
"Mrs. Eleanor! Dad!"
Eleanor rushed straight into the operating room. The moment she saw Harrison, she grasped her cold hand, voice thick with urgency.
"Harrison, I'm here now!"
Harrison's face was ghostly pale, her lips cracked and dry. She had been clinging to consciousness by sheer willpower, but the moment she saw Eleanor, her body finally surrendered. Her tear-streaked eyes fluttered shut as she whispered weakly, "Grandma..."
Eleanor tightened her grip. "It's alright. You're safe now. No one will harm you or my great-grandchild."
Harrison gave the faintest nod before slipping into unconsciousness.
Alistair checked her pulse, exhaling in relief. "Thank heavens. Dr. Sinclair confirmed both mother and child are stable."
Eleanor's gaze turned icy as she took in the unconscious men in black and the trembling doctor on the floor. Her voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "Take them away. I want answers. If they refuse to talk, they won't need their tongues anymore."
Though Eleanor had retired from Falcon Enterprises years ago, her authority remained absolute. The men shuddered under her glare.
"W-We were just following orders—" one stammered.
Before he could finish, they were dragged out. There would be time for interrogations later.
Harrison was moved to a private suite, her exhausted body sinking into deep, undisturbed sleep.
Eleanor kept vigil by her bedside.
The door burst open moments later, Dominic rushing in, breathless.
"Mrs. Eleanor," he panted.
Eleanor's sharp eyes pinned him in place. "Where the hell is Nathaniel? His wife is lying here fighting for her life, and you're the only one who bothered to show up?"
Dominic wiped sweat from his brow, visibly nervous. "Mrs. Eleanor, Mr. Falcon—he's—"
Rosalind cut in, voice trembling with fury. "Mrs. Eleanor, Nathaniel's gone missing! I called him a hundred times—not a single answer! He wasn't here when Harrison and the baby needed him most. This is unforgivable!"
Eleanor's eyes narrowed. "Speak. Now. Where is my grandson?"
Dominic swallowed hard, realizing evasion was pointless. "Mr. Falcon... is with Ms. Isabella."
Eleanor shot to her feet, face contorting in disbelief. "What did you just say? Nathaniel is with Isabella?"
"Yes, Mrs. Eleanor," Dominic confirmed. "Ms. Isabella suddenly complained of chest pains. Mr. Falcon rushed her to the hospital. And... they're in this very building."
Rosalind's hands clenched into fists. "No wonder he ignored all my calls! He was too busy playing knight in shining armor for that woman!"
Eleanor trembled with rage. "That foolish boy—still entangled with Isabella after everything? I'll drag him back myself!"
She stormed out like a hurricane.
Meanwhile, in another VIP suite, Isabella clung to Nathaniel, her grip unyielding. "Nathaniel, stay with me tonight."
Victoria, who had just arrived, exchanged a knowing glance with Isabella. Given the timing, they assumed Harrison had lost the baby—but to be certain, they needed to keep Nathaniel occupied just a little longer.
