Chapter 210

"After Mrs. Falcon entered the hospital room, I followed your instructions and found you a virgin."

That virgin was Daphne.

Nathaniel's expression remained unreadable, his features carved from ice. "Understood."

He strode into the bathroom and turned on the cold shower.

Freezing water poured over his head. He closed his eyes, letting it numb him.

His skin bore angry red scratches, and a deep bite mark marred his shoulder. He had assumed they were from Harrison. Now he knew better.

It had all been an illusion.

A feverish dream where he imagined being with Harrison.

But she never came.

Instead, he had taken her classmate.

Nathaniel scrubbed his skin raw, as if he could erase the evidence.

A loud crack echoed as his fist collided with the tiled wall.

Daphne had dressed and was waiting in the study when Nathaniel entered.

Freshly showered, he wore a crisp white shirt and tailored black trousers. His usual mask of indifference was back in place—cold, detached, untouchable.

"Mr. Falcon," Dominic greeted.

Nathaniel sat behind his desk, his gaze briefly flicking to Daphne. "Take the check and leave."

Dominic handed her the check.

The amount was staggering.

But Daphne didn’t take it. "Mr. Falcon, I don’t want money."

She didn’t want money?

Nathaniel’s lips curled into a mocking smile. "This was a transaction. You came here to sell yourself. Don’t insult me by pretending this was anything more."

Daphne paled. She had expected indifference, not cruelty.

He stripped her bare with his words, leaving no shred of dignity. Yet, despite everything, there was something about him—something impossible to resist.

"Mr. Falcon, I know you’re not interested in me. I don’t expect anything romantic. But I want to sign with Falcon Entertainment. I’m in performing arts. Give me the resources to become a star."

Nathaniel studied her for a moment. "Fine."

Making a star was nothing to him. He had the power to do it effortlessly. And he was never petty when it came to business.

"Ms. Sinclair, Falcon Entertainment will contact you shortly to discuss your contract. You’ll receive top-tier resources—reality shows, films, fashion campaigns. A dedicated team will handle your branding and publicity," Dominic explained.

Daphne’s eyes glittered with triumph. This was everything she had ever wanted.

"Thank you, Mr. Falcon."

Nathaniel didn’t acknowledge her gratitude.

Dominic gestured toward the door. "Ms. Sinclair, this way."

She had gotten what she came for. There was nothing left to say. Their paths would never cross again.

Daphne cast one last lingering glance at Nathaniel before following Dominic out.

The study fell silent.

Then, the sharp ring of a phone shattered the stillness.

It was Victoria.

"Mr. Falcon, you left Isabella alone last night. Now she’s in the hospital. You need to come immediately!"
