Chapter 306
But Isabella wasn't the girl from the cave!
Isabella clenched her jaw until her teeth threatened to shatter. Harrison had outmaneuvered her at every step today, even bringing Nathaniel in for the final strike.
She'd always underestimated Harrison, but now, she was beginning to grasp just how cunning she truly was.
She needed a plan to deal with Harrison.
Pulling out her phone, Isabella dialed Margaret's number.
Harrison returned to the girls' dorm, and moments later, Rosalind arrived as well.
"Rosalind, did you catch up with Everett?" Harrison asked.
Rosalind exhaled sharply in frustration. "No, he completely brushed me off."
Harrison smirked. "Seems he's not easily won over."
"Who said I was trying to win him over? Stop teasing me," Rosalind retorted, her cheeks flushing.
Harrison laughed but didn't press further.
Then Rosalind suddenly clung to Harrison's slender arm. "Harrison, how did you make the birthmark on my face disappear? I've been thinking about it. Yesterday, you gave me that horribly bitter candy. Don't lie—it was the candy, wasn't it?"
Harrison opened her mouth to respond when a soft knock interrupted.
Who was it?
Rosalind opened the door to reveal a tall, striking figure—Nathaniel.
"Mr. Falcon, what are you doing here? Just a warning—you should watch out for Isabella. She's deceitful and cruel. If it weren't for Harrison, who knows what she would've done to me!" Rosalind fumed.
Nathaniel studied Rosalind's delicate face. The birthmark was gone, leaving her radiant, like a polished gem.
This was his cousin. When he'd seen Harrison wipe the birthmark from her face in the car earlier, no one had been more stunned.
Alistair wasn't back yet, but when he returned, the entire Whitmore family would be in for a shock.
For years, Alistair and the Whitmores had scoured the Capital for a way to remove Rosalind's birthmark, to no avail. Now, it had vanished completely.
Nathaniel's lips thinned. "How did your birthmark disappear?"
Harrison tried to stop Rosalind from answering, but she blurted out, "Because Harrison gave me a really bitter candy."
Harrison cursed herself for not coordinating with Rosalind beforehand.
The next second, she felt Nathaniel's piercing gaze lock onto her, scrutinizing her in silence.
"Rosalind, could you step outside for a moment?" Nathaniel asked softly.
Rosalind nodded. "Of course."
Once Rosalind was gone, Nathaniel entered and shut the door behind him.
He closed the distance between them with measured steps, his imposing presence casting a shadow over her. "Where did that candy come from?"
Harrison tilted her flawless face and met his gaze, answering simply, "I won't tell you."
Nathaniel was speechless.
It was clear Harrison had no intention of explaining. She tried to walk past him.
But Nathaniel seized her wrist, halting her in place.
Harrison stiffened, her brows knitting as she struggled. "Let go. If you don't, you'll regret it."
The moment the words left her lips, Nathaniel yanked her hard against his chest.
Harrison looked up to find his lips curved in a mocking smirk. He loomed over her, eyes glinting with amusement.
"You keep threatening to teach me a lesson, to make me regret it... Harrison, you talk a big game."
