Chapter 341

Harrison's gaze shot upward, locking onto Sebastian.

Sebastian had been in deep slumber until the commotion startled him awake. In one swift motion, he launched from the bed and tore Adrian away from her.

Adrian, consumed by lustful haze, never anticipated an ambush. He lost footing and crashed against the wall.

Sebastian's pallid face twisted with fury as he demanded, "Are you hurt?"

Harrison shook her head. "I'm fine."

Only then did Sebastian turn his wrath toward Adrian. His fists clenched, knuckles whitening. "You disgusting pig!"

Adrian sneered, frustration evident at his interrupted plans. "I saved you both from that storm. Without me, your leg would be rotting by now. And this is how you repay me? She's no blushing virgin - just some married woman. What's one more man to her?"

Sebastian's rage erupted. Veins pulsed at his temples as he charged, fist flying toward Adrian's jaw.

Adrian met the attack head-on. The two men became a whirlwind of violence, trading brutal blows across the cramped cabin.

Harrison scrambled to her feet, pulse hammering as she watched the deadly dance.

Sebastian was Wintervale's most feared street fighter, but his injured leg slowed his movements. Adrian's towering frame and raw strength soon gave him the upper hand.

A cruel smirk twisted Adrian's lips. "Should've played nice. Now I'll gut you and keep your sister-in-law as my personal toy. Maybe chain her in the barn for when I'm bored."

He tightened his grip around Sebastian's throat, malice dripping from every word. "Never wanted to save you anyway. But Harrison... too pretty to pass up."

CRACK!

A wooden chair shattered across Adrian's skull. Blood immediately gushed from his hairline as he whirled to face Harrison, the broken chair leg still in her trembling hands.

"You little bitch!" Adrian roared, drawing a hunting knife from his belt. The blade glinted as he lunged.

Harrison stumbled backward, heart in her throat. The chair should have knocked him unconscious - how was he still standing?

A shadow intercepted the attack.

Sebastian.

He positioned himself between Harrison and the blade, taking the slash meant for her.

"Sebastian!" Harrison screamed.

With lightning reflexes, Sebastian twisted Adrian's wrist, disarming him. A brutal kick sent Adrian flying across the room. He hit the wall with a sickening crunch, collapsing in a bloody heap.

Harrison rushed to Sebastian's side. Though the knife hadn't pierced deeply, a vicious gash ran along his forearm, crimson staining his sleeve.

"Let me treat that." Harrison grabbed the first aid kit, hands shaking as she cleaned the wound.

The adrenaline crash left them both breathless. They'd survived - barely.

Sebastian eyed Adrian's unconscious form. "Village chief's son. When he wakes..."

Harrison understood the unspoken danger. This temporary victory meant nothing. Adrian's family connections made him untouchable in Wintervale.

Tomorrow would bring worse.
