Chapter 336

Isabella had rigged the yacht beforehand, planting explosives beneath the deck.

The digital timer ticked relentlessly. Three minutes was all they had left before detonation.

Standing on the shore, Isabella watched the horizon with cold satisfaction.

"Sebastian, this is your own fault. Your heart belongs to Harrison now. You'll die together."

On board, Sebastian had just turned the wheel to return.

A towering wave crashed over the bow, icy spray hitting Harrison's face.

Her dark lashes fluttered open. Confusion clouded her vision as she took in her surroundings. "Sebastian? Where are we?" A dull throbbing pulsed behind her temples.

He spun toward her. "You're awake?"

Recognition flashed in Harrison's eyes as she saw the endless ocean stretching around them. Her voice turned glacial. "Why did you bring me here?"

"Me? Isabella told me to take you out! I may dislike you, but I'd never hurt you. We're heading back now."

Isabella again?

Harrison couldn't comprehend the woman's motives. Nathaniel had already divorced her. What more could she possibly want?

Then Harrison spotted it - the blinking red digits counting down. "What's that?"

Sebastian paled. "A bomb! How the hell did that get on board?"

Harrison's stomach dropped. Thirty seconds remained.

She grabbed Sebastian's arm. "We're out of time! It's going to blow!"

"Fuck! What do we do?"

Harrison scanned the churning waters. "We jump."

"Are you insane? That's the ocean!"

"Choose - explosion or drowning."

"I'm not jumping!" Sebastian roared.

Without hesitation, Harrison planted her foot between his shoulder blades. He pitched forward into the freezing abyss.

"God damn you!" His curse vanished beneath the waves.

Ten seconds left.

9...8...7...

Harrison didn't hesitate. She dove gracefully into the merciless sea.

BOOM!

The yacht erupted in a fireball that lit up the sky.

Back at the resort, Nathaniel kept getting the same automated message:

"The number you have dialed is currently unavailable."

Where was she?

An inexplicable dread coiled in his gut.

He stormed back to the Silver Pines Hotel, heading straight for Room 608. The door swung open at his touch.

"Harrison? Where—"

His words died as he spotted her phone abandoned on the floor.

Lucas appeared in the doorway. "Harrison? Nathaniel, what are you doing here? Where is she?"

Nathaniel clenched the phone, his face darkening. "Something's happened to Harrison."

Lucas froze. "What?"

Nathaniel barreled past him, shouting for help.
