Chapter 763
Isabella recounted her discoveries of the day to Eleanor.
Eleanor's lips curved in satisfaction. "Excellent. With this Soulbind Curse, Nathaniel won't be able to escape you."
A hopeful yet anxious smile touched Isabella's lips. "The Soulbind Curse...it won't fail unexpectedly, will it? After finally getting this chance to be near Nathaniel, I can't bear the thought of losing him again."
Eleanor chuckled softly. "Relax, darling. It's an ancient, unbreakable curse. Nathaniel's condition will only improve if he remains by your side indefinitely."
"Thank you...truly."
"Don't mention it. Harrison and Gabrielle are our shared enemies now. Neither of them will get away with what they've done."
Meanwhile, in the hospital room, Dominic approached Nathaniel discreetly. "Mr. Falcon, Isabella just left to take a call. I overheard part of the conversation—she was speaking with someone called Ms. Lancaster."
Ms. Lancaster?
Eleanor?
Could she truly be orchestrating all this?
Nathaniel's lips pressed into a thin line, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. He knew Eleanor—an orphan raised alongside Henry. Did she possess that kind of influence?
Was there something darker hidden beneath her poised exterior?
"Mr. Falcon, what's our next move?"
"I suspect Isabella and Eleanor are collaborating, but their exact scheme remains unclear. No matter. I'll test Isabella and uncover the truth."
"How?"
A smirk played on Nathaniel's lips. "By turning them against each other."
Watching Nathaniel's confident expression, Dominic couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Isabella. Playing games with Nathaniel Falcon was nothing short of suicidal.
Just then, the door swung open, and Isabella strode in. "I'm back."
Nathaniel's gaze settled on her. "Finished your call? Who was it?"
Isabella had her lie ready. She smiled sweetly. "Just my mother."
Nathaniel mirrored her smile. "What did Mrs. Lancaster say?"
"She asked about us. The Falcon and Lancaster families have been allies for generations, and our mothers are dear friends. Naturally, she hopes we'll marry soon." Her eyes shimmered with expectation.
Nathaniel sidestepped a direct answer, instead offering a charming grin. "Thank you for staying with me. How about this—tomorrow evening, I'll take you out to dinner."
Isabella's face lit up. "Really? I'd love that!"
Nathaniel nodded. "It's a date."
Returning to the Lancaster estate, Isabella was met by Henry and Gabrielle. Gabrielle stepped forward, concern knitting her brows. "Where have you been?"
"With Nathaniel. I've been spending time with him."
Gabrielle froze. "What? Nathaniel made his stance perfectly clear the last time he was here. Your father and I want you to find someone who genuinely loves you. You need to let him go."
Isabella cut her off sharply. "He invited me to dinner tomorrow."
Gabrielle blinked in disbelief. "Dinner? What is he planning?"
Henry frowned. "Why would Nathaniel suddenly ask you out?"
Isabella's smile turned triumphant.
It didn't matter if Henry and Gabrielle disapproved—she had Eleanor's support, and with that, Nathaniel would be hers.
"His heart has always belonged to me. This dinner proves it!"
