Chapter 330

Nathaniel lay motionless, his eyes fixed on the ceiling as reality slowly seeped back in.

It had all been a dream.

Harrison had visited him in his sleep.

His throat constricted. Muscles coiled tight. Every nerve ending buzzed with the restless energy of a man at dawn.

Nathaniel’s hand slid beneath the sheets. His eyelids fluttered shut as he surrendered to the moment.

Outside, snow blanketed the landscape after an entire night of falling. The group had planned a ski trip today.

Everyone had gathered—except Nathaniel.

"Where’s Nathaniel?"

"I’ll go check on him."

Just as they turned to leave, his bedroom door swung open.

"Morning," Nathaniel muttered.

His chiseled features gave nothing away, but the icy aura around him was warning enough. Keep your distance.

"Nathaniel’s here! Let’s head out."

His gaze instantly zeroed in on Harrison standing beside Lucas.

"Harrison, did you see the message I sent you earlier?" Lucas asked.

Harrison nodded. "Yes, I did."

Nathaniel’s lips curled into a humorless smile. "You two are connected on social media?"

Lucas shrugged. "Obviously."

A chorus of voices chimed in from nearby. "We’re all connected with Harrison. Aren’t you?"

Nathaniel said nothing.

So, she’d accepted everyone’s friend request—except his?

The already foul mood darkened further. His obsidian eyes locked onto Harrison with predatory intensity.

Harrison shivered.

Why was he looking at her like that? As if he wanted to consume her whole.

She had her reasons for rejecting his request. She wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

"Alright, let’s move out!"

Half an hour later, they arrived at the ski resort.

As everyone geared up, one of the girls frowned at Harrison. "You don’t know how to ski?"

Harrison shook her head.

"Lucas, you’re on teaching duty. Harrison, he’s practically a pro. Have fun!"

Lucas glided effortlessly across the snow, executing sharp turns before stopping before Harrison. He held out his hands. "Trust me. I’ll teach you."

"Thanks," Harrison said, placing her hands in his.

With Lucas’s guidance, Harrison quickly picked up the basics. Soon, she was skiing on her own, laughter bubbling up as she gained confidence.

Then—

"Look out!"

A skier hurtled toward her, out of control.

Harrison froze. Her legs refused to move.

A blur shot past. Strong arms wrapped around her, yanking her down just in time.

They tumbled across the snow, rolling downhill in a tangled heap.
