Chapter 934

Rosalind's cheeks burned crimson. "I know...but Lucian is just... He never takes no for an answer."

Harrison let out an amused chuckle as she observed Rosalind.

Truth be told, Reginald often said Lucian was just a lovesick fool, completely smitten. But wasn't Rosalind equally besotted? They say when two hopeless romantics find each other, it's a match made in heaven. Those two were utterly inseparable.

Harrison smiled warmly. "Now that you and Mr. Graves have reconciled, you should tell him about the pregnancy."

Tell him about the pregnancy?

The thought had crossed Rosalind's mind repeatedly.

"Mr. Graves adores children. He's responsible and capable. Sharing this news would be wonderful. I have no doubt he'll make an exceptional father."

Rosalind knew Lucian wanted children. He'd mentioned starting a family before.

And she truly believed he would be amazing at fatherhood.

She nodded slowly. "Yes, I'll find the perfect moment to tell him."

Just then, a young nurse's voice called from behind, "Dr. Whitmore."

Harrison glanced over her shoulder. "Duty calls."

Rosalind gave a reassuring nod. "Go ahead. I'll be fine."

As Harrison walked away, Rosalind remained standing there, gazing down at the ultrasound image in her hands. A tender, joyful smile played on her lips.

That's when an all-too-familiar voice shattered her moment.

"Rosalind? What brings you here?"

Her head snapped up to see the last person she wanted to encounter - Julian.

The man she despised most in this world.

Rosalind's expression turned glacial. "Hello, Julian. Given our history, I see no reason for pleasantries. Let's pretend we're strangers."

She had no intention of wasting another second on him and immediately turned to leave.

But Julian blocked her path.

As the saying goes, forbidden fruit tastes sweetest - and Julian was no exception. Staring at her delicate features, he flashed that infuriating smirk.

"Going to ignore me now?"

"After what you did to my family, we're beyond acquaintances - we're enemies. Never show your face around me again!"

Julian's eyes narrowed dangerously. "This is because of Lucian, isn't it? Are you two back together?"

"What happens between Lucian and me is none of your damn concern," she snapped.

She tried to push past him, but Julian grabbed her wrist.

"You—"

In the struggle, the ultrasound image slipped from her grasp, fluttering to the ground.

Julian's gaze dropped. "What's this?"

Rosalind lunged for it, but Julian was quicker - he snatched it up before her fingers could brush the paper.

"Here for a checkup? Are you sick—"

His words died in his throat.

His eyes locked onto the bold heading: "Ultrasound Report." Below, the image clearly showed Rosalind was pregnant.

Julian looked like he'd been struck by lightning. He knew she and Lucian had reunited, but he never imagined they'd slept together - let alone that she was carrying Lucian's child.

Rosalind glared at him with venom in her eyes.

"Ever heard of privacy? My medical matters are none of your business! Give that back!"

She reached for the report, but Julian held it high above her reach. His voice came out hoarse with disbelief. "You're pregnant?"

Rosalind crossed her arms defiantly. "Having trouble reading? Yes, I'm pregnant."

Julian's face twisted with barely contained rage. "You're carrying Lucian's child!"
