Chapter 338

Harrison had deliberately provoked the situation. Now, trapped in this remote location with severely injured Sebastian, she found herself at the mercy of Adrian - the village chief's son whose predatory gaze made her skin crawl.

But Sebastian wouldn't play along with her charade. In his mind, Harrison had already divorced Nathaniel. Yet here she was, claiming they were still married? The audacity. Sebastian opened his mouth to protest when Harrison silenced him with a lethal glare. "Not a word!" Her fingers dug into his wound. "How are you still conscious through this pain?"

"Damn it, that hurts!" Sebastian gasped, sweat beading on his forehead. "I'll make you pay for this!"

The local physician shook his head gravely. "The leg injury is beyond my skills. I've stopped the bleeding, but he needs proper hospital treatment tomorrow."

Harrison cut him off. "We don't have until tomorrow. This needs to be addressed tonight."

The doctor frowned. "What do you propose?"

"Bone realignment," Harrison stated coolly.

Sebastian's eyes widened in horror. "You want to break my leg? Are you trying to cripple me?"

Harrison's lips curled into a chilling smile. "Precisely."

She turned to the physician. "Hold him down. This will be unpleasant."

Without hesitation, the doctor pinned Sebastian's thrashing legs.

"Let go of me!" Sebastian roared, desperation creeping into his voice. "Harrison, if you do this, I swear-"

Despite his violent struggles, Sebastian's injuries rendered him powerless against the doctor's grip. He could only watch in terror as Harrison approached.

Her hands closed around his leg. A sickening crack echoed through the room.

White-hot agony exploded through Sebastian's body, nearly lifting him off the cot. His muscles locked rigid, teeth grinding as he spat, "You vicious witch! With Nathaniel gone, you finally show your true colors! This is what you've wanted all along!"

"No wonder Nathaniel prefers Isabella! And you dare call yourself his wife? In my eyes, Isabella is the only woman for him!"

Pain-fueled rage consumed Sebastian's thoughts, directing all his hatred toward Harrison.

Harrison remained focused, her hands steady. She didn't even glance up, her voice calm. "I know you worship Isabella. Pity she's not here to save you. You're stuck with me."

"Harrison, you'll regret this!"

Another sharp crack filled the room. The unbearable pain suddenly halved. Sebastian collapsed back, gasping like a landed fish.

The physician gasped. "Bone regeneration? My God, it's the legendary technique! You're performing miracles!"

He stared at Harrison with newfound awe.

Sebastian paled. "What regeneration?"

The doctor quickly explained, "You misunderstood completely. She wasn't harming you - she was saving your leg! The injury would've likely required amputation, but this remarkable woman used bone regeneration. Your leg will recover fully!"

Sebastian froze. Had he misjudged Harrison?

She'd been helping him?

The doctor continued, "You owe her your gratitude. She saved your leg."

Sebastian stared at Harrison, stunned. He knew she was brilliant, but medical expertise? Healing abilities?

She'd been trying to save him while he hurled insults.

Guilt twisted in his chest. "Harrison..."
