Chapter 346

Nathaniel studied Felicity and his team before turning to Dominic. "Our village has strict rules against outsiders. I can only take you in."

Dominic quickly stepped forward. "Mr. Falcon, going alone might be risky."

Nathaniel arched a brow. "Risky? Explain."

Dominic lowered his voice. "Felicity clearly has her eyes on you. Watch out—she might try to make you her husband."

A cold glare from Nathaniel silenced him instantly.

"Stay here and rest," Nathaniel ordered. "I'll reach out when needed."

Dominic nodded. "Understood."

Nathaniel turned back to Felicity. "Lead the way. I appreciate your help."

As they walked through the village, Felicity's pulse quickened. "What's your name?"

"Nathaniel."

"Can I call you Nate?"

He hesitated. "If you prefer."

"What do you do?"

"I own a company."

She smiled. "Why aren't you married? What kind of woman do you like?"

Nathaniel glanced at her eager expression and smirked. "I prefer kind women—those who listen and help others. You got me into this village. That makes you exactly my type."

His smooth words had a way of making women feel special.

Felicity beamed. "Of course I'll help! These two are your siblings, right? We're here—this is the place!"

She stopped at a small house. "They're inside."

Were Harrison and Sebastian really there?

Nathaniel didn't hesitate. He pushed the door open.

Inside, Sebastian held Harrison close on a narrow bed. Nathaniel had imagined countless scenarios, but not this.

Sebastian's arms were wrapped around Harrison, trying to warm her. But she was ice-cold, barely breathing.

Nathaniel froze.

Sebastian heard the door creak and looked up. His eyes widened. "Nathaniel?! You're here?"

Nathaniel's gaze flicked to Harrison.

Sebastian jerked his hands away. "Nothing happened, I swear! Come closer—Harrison's burning up. She's been shaking, saying she's freezing."

Nathaniel moved swiftly. Harrison's delicate face was pale, her body trembling.

"Harrison?" He called softly. "Harrison!"

No response.

Then he saw the red marks on her neck. Her skin was so fair that even the slightest touch left traces.

His voice turned icy. "Who did this?"

"Adrian!" Sebastian's voice shook. "Nathaniel, you're too late. We barely survived last night."

Nathaniel gently cupped Harrison's face before lifting her into his arms.

In that moment, something inside him softened. A fierce protectiveness surged through him.
