Chapter 353

"Wait just a minute!"

Harrison cut off Isabella's tirade.

"You've got everything backwards. I didn't seduce Nathaniel last night. The truth is, I fought him off with everything I had, but he took advantage when I was weak with fever!"

What? Nathaniel forced himself on Harrison?

Isabella couldn't process this. Nathaniel was the type of man who had women throwing themselves at him constantly - he never lacked for beautiful admirers.

Whenever Isabella tried to get close, he'd always push her away, claiming work obligations or simply not being in the mood. If anything, he was the most disciplined man she knew.

Yet now he'd assaulted Harrison when she was ill?

Isabella's mind reeled.

"That's impossible!" she screeched. "You're lying through your teeth!"

Harrison turned to Nathaniel. "Mr. Falcon, since you're standing right here, why don't you tell Isabella if I'm being truthful."

Nathaniel studied Harrison for a long moment before responding slowly, "Everything she said is accurate."

Isabella stood frozen, speechless.

Watching Isabella's face contort with rage, Harrison couldn't suppress a cold smirk.

"Isabella, when you were the other woman, did it never occur to you this might happen? Let me enlighten you - Mr. Falcon has no self-control. So you'd better watch your tone with me. Unless you want to become the next betrayed woman!"

With that, Harrison turned on her heel and strode away.

Isabella was coming unglued. Instead of destroying Harrison, she'd inadvertently pushed her rival into Nathaniel's arms. She'd sabotaged herself spectacularly - and the pain was excruciating.

Isabella glared daggers at Nathaniel. "How could you do this to me? You promised you wouldn't sleep with Harrison again! You're divorced!"

Nathaniel had nothing left to say. His chiseled features were shadowed, barely visible in the dim lighting. "Isabella, I'm sorry. Harrison-"

"Stop! Not another word!" Isabella shrieked, hurling her designer handbag to the ground with a crash.

Meanwhile, Harrison collected her luggage, preparing to return to Willowbrook.

Lucas and the others approached, and Lucas leaned in to murmur, "Harrison, I saw Nathaniel and his girlfriend having quite the argument."

"Yes, I noticed that too. His girlfriend looked absolutely livid. She actually threw her purse."

"What do you suppose they were fighting about?" one of the senior colleagues asked.

Harrison merely smiled enigmatically without responding.

When Harrison returned to the girls' dormitory, Rosalind greeted her with an enthusiastic embrace. "Harrison! You're finally back!"

Harrison presented Rosalind with gifts from Wintervale, and after catching up, she settled in for a nap.

She slept straight through until morning. Waking, Harrison realized she'd been sleeping remarkably well lately - perhaps even excessively.

Checking her phone, she found a message from Oliver.

[Back in town?]

Harrison replied, [Just returned.]

Oliver responded, [Let's meet up then.]

Harrison typed, [How about Vitalis Health? I haven't visited in ages.]

Oliver replied, [As founder, you've been rather negligent.]

Vitalis Health was packed to capacity that day. Nathaniel had arranged VIP access to bring Isabella for medication.

Since returning from Wintervale, Isabella's heart condition had been troubling her constantly. She clung to Nathaniel, insisting he stay by her side. Victoria and Penelope accompanied them.

Penelope examined the medication. "This is Vitalis Health's new cardiac formula. Incredibly effective - it's causing quite the sensation in medical circles."

"Who developed this heart medication?" Isabella inquired.

"The founder of Vitalis Health, who registered it as a naturopathic brand six years back. Not only do Vitalis hospitals operate worldwide, but the company went public as a major pharmaceutical overseas six years ago. It sent shockwaves through the medical community," Penelope explained.
