Chapter 371

A crowd quickly formed around the commotion.

"Fight! There's a fight happening!"

Rosalind's heart pounded with fear. Campus brawls meant serious disciplinary action. The worst part? She was the one getting beaten - and it hurt like hell.

Adriana had pinned Rosalind to the ground the entire time. Though a few other girls joined in attacking Adriana, it made no difference.

Adriana fought like a wildcat. Every inch of Rosalind's body burned with pain.

Finally managing to push Adriana off, Rosalind gasped, "You'll pay for this, Adriana! I'm getting backup!" She grabbed her friends and fled.

Adriana stood unfazed despite her torn clothes and fresh bruises. She picked up her designer bag and headed straight for the locker room. No way was she walking around campus looking like this.

Zero regrets about the fight. People who talked trash didn't deserve her patience.

While Rosalind went crying for reinforcements, Adriana waited.

Peeling off her ruined blouse made her wince. Angry red scratches covered her arms and torso. The adrenaline had masked the pain, but now it hit full force.

Her phone's cheerful ringtone shattered the silence.

Harrison calling.

Adriana answered to hear Harrison's urgent voice. "Where are you? I heard you got into a fight!"

Harrison had been waiting at their dorm when someone rushed in saying they'd seen Adriana brawling.

"I'm fine," Adriana said through gritted teeth. "Ran into Rosalind and her crew badmouthing Everett."

"You fought over Everett?" Harrison sounded shocked.

"Six against one, but I held my own - damn it!" Adriana hissed as she accidentally touched a fresh wound.

"Tell me where you are. I'm coming now."

Adriana gave her location and Harrison hung up immediately.

Harrison sprinted toward the locker room, only to spot a familiar tall figure - Everett.

He was on campus today.

Dressed in his signature all-black ensemble: unbuttoned dress shirt revealing a white tee underneath, tailored trousers emphasizing his lean frame. His sharp jawline and piercing gaze made him stand out even in the crowded hallway. That untouchable aura surrounded him like always.

Exactly the qualities that made all the privileged girls at Willowridge University swoon.

Harrison didn't hesitate. "Everett! Wait up!"

He paused, turning with an indifferent expression. "Yes?"

"I'm Adriana's best friend. Remember Adriana?" Harrison said quickly.

Everett didn't respond. Just turned to leave.

Harrison blinked at his coldness before stepping directly into his path.

"Adriana just got into a fight because some girls were trash-talking you."

Everett's gaze flickered over Harrison but he remained silent, moving to walk around her.

"Look, I'm not trying to guilt you," Harrison persisted. "But she really appreciated what you did for her before. I know you want nothing to do with her, but the more you avoid her, the more she... Could you just see her for five minutes?"
