Chapter 484

Harrison crossed her arms, her eyes flashing with defiance. "This is my home. You have no right to be here!"

Nathaniel ignored her protest. With one forceful shove, he pushed past her, his tall frame easily clearing the doorway.

A sharp irritation prickled at Harrison's skin. Nathaniel and Isabella were truly made for each other - both believing they could invade private spaces without consequence.

"I'm calling security if you don't leave now!" Her voice carried unmistakable authority.

Nathaniel's piercing gaze locked onto her. "What secrets are you keeping from me?"

Harrison stiffened. "Excuse me?"

His eyes dropped lower, zeroing in on her abdomen.

Instinctively, Harrison's hands flew to protect her stomach. "What are you staring at?"

Her defensive posture spoke volumes - she was shielding Oliver's child from potential harm.

Nathaniel's chest constricted painfully. The realization stung - she actually believed him capable of harming her and their baby.

"That night at Vitalis Health. You tampered with the results, didn't you?"

Harrison's breath hitched. The jig was up.

When Nathaniel had declared his dislike for children and warned her not to complicate his life, she'd made her decision. The truth wasn't meant for him.

Yet some part of her had known this moment would come. Just not so soon.

"Why the silence?" Nathaniel's voice cut like ice. "Always so quick with words. Tell me plainly - are you carrying my child?"

Harrison met his gaze steadily. "Yes. I'm pregnant."

A bitter smirk twisted Nathaniel's lips. Whether he mocked her or himself remained unclear.

His expression unsettled Harrison. "This is my private matter. It doesn't concern you. Just... don't hurt my baby."

Each word stabbed deeper than the last. She could've spared him this pain, but chose otherwise.

Was this her revenge?

Rage ignited in Nathaniel's veins. He advanced with deliberate steps.

His imposing shadow made Harrison retreat instinctively. Something in his demeanor tonight felt dangerously unpredictable.

"Running away? What are you afraid of?" His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper.

Harrison's back hit the wall, leaving her nowhere to go.

Her jaw tightened. "I said leave!"

Nathaniel closed the distance, his hand clamping her shoulder. A humorless laugh escaped him. "Answer me - what frightens you? That I'd harm you? Hurt the baby? Is that your opinion of me?"

"Yes!" Harrison didn't hesitate.

Nathaniel froze, stunned by her bluntness.

She held his gaze unflinchingly. "The moment you chose Isabella, you showed your true colors. You took Oliver from me too. Make no mistake - if anything happens to him, I'll never forgive you."

Mentioning Oliver struck deeper than she intended.

"Is he really that important?" Nathaniel sneered.

Harrison nodded firmly. "Absolutely."

Nathaniel's expression darkened. "Of course. How could I forget? You're carrying his child. He must mean everything now."
