Chapter 547

Nathaniel's gaze locked onto Henry with unwavering determination. "Uncle Henry, let me make this perfectly clear—I will never marry Isabella. The only woman I love is Harrison."

Isabella's face twisted in anguish. "Nathaniel!"

With a swift motion, Nathaniel pulled Harrison free from Henry's grip, drawing her protectively against his chest.

Harrison stumbled slightly before melting into Nathaniel's embrace. His strong arm encircled her waist as he murmured, "Are you hurt?"

She shook her head. "I'm fine."

Nathaniel's voice was firm. "Let's leave."

"Alright."

Harrison attempted to step away, but Nathaniel effortlessly scooped her into his arms.

Her breath hitched in surprise, but he only tightened his hold. "Hold onto me."

Wrapping her arms around his neck, Harrison let him carry her away, leaving Henry and Isabella behind.

Rosalind turned to Isabella, sticking out her tongue playfully. "So what if you're the richest heiress? You still lost your fiancé!"

Isabella's face flushed crimson with fury. "How dare you—"

"Ah-ah," Rosalind interrupted, wagging a finger. "Careful, Isabella. Remember your heart condition. If you get too worked up, Harrison won't be able to treat you."

Isabella clenched her fists, speechless.

Rosalind giggled and dashed off before she could retaliate. "Mr. Falcon, wait for me!"

Already seething from the confrontation, Isabella trembled with rage. She clutched Henry's arm. "Father, look at her! She refuses to treat me. What am I supposed to do?"

Henry regarded her calmly. "Once we return to Metropolia, I'll arrange for the finest specialists to examine you. I'll bring in the world's top cardiologists. There are plenty of brilliant doctors—Harrison isn't the only one. I promise, you'll recover."

His words soothed her slightly. With Henry's influence, she knew he could secure a physician even more skilled than Harrison.

Then she wouldn't need Harrison at all.

Victoria, standing nearby, beamed. "That's wonderful, Mr. Lancaster! Isabella will finally get the care she deserves."

"But, Father," Isabella interjected, her expression darkening. "What about Nathaniel and me?"

Henry studied his daughter thoughtfully.

"I can see he has no affection for you. His heart belongs to Harrison. Love can't be forced, Isabella. Marriage is a lifelong commitment—it should be built on mutual devotion. Let Nathaniel go. I'll find you a worthy match. There are countless eligible heirs in Metropolia. You can choose any of them."

Isabella's eyes narrowed. "Are any of them as exceptional as Nathaniel?"

Henry sighed. "No. Nathaniel isn't just the Falcon family's most promising heir—he's one of the most formidable young businessmen today. In a decade, his achievements may even surpass mine."

Deep down, Isabella knew he was right. She'd met many men, but none compared to Nathaniel. His brilliance, his poise, his character—he was unparalleled.

"Father, I don't want anyone else! Only Nathaniel!" Her voice was steel.

Henry exhaled. "Isabella."

She clung to his arm, her tone sweet but desperate. "If you truly want my happiness, help me win him back! We already have a marriage agreement. Nathaniel was always meant to be mine!"

She refused to surrender him to Harrison. She could accept being the richest heiress, but she would never accept losing the title of Mrs. Falcon.

She wouldn't let herself be second to Harrison—not in Nathaniel's life, not in the business world. Never.

Victoria added softly, "Mr. Lancaster, you may not realize it, but Isabella and Mr. Falcon have known each other for years. Her love for him runs deep. No one could ever replace him."
