Chapter 614

Harrison clenched her pale fingers briefly before releasing them.

"Alright, I'll save Theodore."

Margaret's face lit up with relief. Moments ago, she had feared Harrison would refuse—yet here she was, agreeing.

"Wonderful! I'll arrange the car immediately. We'll head to the hospital now!"

Harrison didn't truly wish to save Theodore, but she had no choice.

Something about his condition felt off. A nagging suspicion told her there was a buried secret between Theodore and Victoria—one someone was desperate to keep hidden.

Only by waking Theodore could she uncover it.

The Whitmore family was a web of deceit, and she intended to unravel every thread.

Soon, Harrison and Margaret arrived at the hospital. Victoria had been playing the devoted wife, stationed at Theodore's bedside day and night.

When she spotted them entering, her expression froze. "What are you doing here?"

Margaret spoke first. "I brought her."

Victoria turned sharply. "Why would you do that?"

Margaret's gaze fell on Theodore's motionless form. "I asked her to treat him."

What?!

Victoria's eyes widened in shock. "No, you can't!"

"Why not?" Harrison countered, her voice steady but edged with steel.

Victoria faltered. "I—"

Harrison stepped forward, her smile sweet but her words razor-sharp. "I heard Theodore took a fall and ended up like this. As his wife, shouldn't you want him to wake up? I'm Dr. Sinclair—the miracle doctor. Mrs. Margaret asked me to help your husband, yet you're standing in my way. That's... odd, don't you think?"

Her scrutinizing gaze pinned Victoria in place.

Victoria stood rigid, speechless.

Margaret's eyes narrowed with sudden suspicion. "She's right. What's your game? Don't you want Theodore to recover? Or is there something you're hiding?"

Fury simmered beneath Victoria's skin. Why did Harrison always ruin everything?

She forced a wounded expression. "How could you say that? I've given everything for Theodore. How dare you doubt me?"

Margaret had never questioned Victoria's devotion before—everyone knew she was obsessed with Theodore.

"You shouldn't trust her," Victoria pressed, voice trembling. "Think about it—Harrison hates us. She wants us destroyed. Why would she help? What if she uses this chance to hurt him? I'd rather care for him forever than risk her harming him further."

Her words were persuasive, dripping with false concern, and Margaret hesitated.

Harrison watched, her suspicion deepening. "Well, then hire someone you trust—or trust the one you've hired. If you don't want me here, I'll leave."

She turned to go, and Victoria's lips curled in triumph.

But then—

"Harrison, wait!" Margaret commanded.

Victoria stiffened.

Harrison paused, glancing back.

Margaret's voice was firm, her decision made. "Theodore is already like this. No one else can save him but you. I have no choice but to trust you—because I need him awake. Please. Treat him."
