Chapter 631
Nathaniel had arrived in Florentia.
Three years had passed, yet his chiseled features appeared even more striking, as if carved by a master sculptor. The bespoke suit clung to his powerful frame, accentuating his lean waist with precision.
His commanding stride through the hotel lobby exuded undeniable authority, turning heads as he moved with purpose.
Dominic followed closely, murmuring, "Mr. Falcon, our search yielded nothing. Ms. Harrison isn't in Florentia." Nathaniel approached the panoramic windows, his gaze distant. "For three years, I've scoured countless cities searching for Harrison. Yet she remains vanished, as if the earth swallowed her whole."
Three years prior, Harrison had departed in Oliver's luxury vehicle and never returned.
Now standing in Florentia's most opulent hotel, Nathaniel found himself no closer to answers.
"Mr. Falcon, the jet awaits," Dominic reminded. "The Global Summit in Metropolia requires your presence tomorrow."
Nathaniel gave a curt nod. "Very well."
With no leads here, Metropolia called him back.
His phone chimed softly. Victoria's name flashed on the screen.
"Mother," he answered.
Nearby, Charlotte played with her cherished crystal sphere - a birthday gift from Harrison that she treasured above all toys.
The sphere slipped from her tiny hands, rolling across the marble floor.
"Oh no!"
The child scrambled after her precious toy.
The crystal came to rest against Nathaniel's polished Oxfords.
Victoria's voice carried through the phone, "Return promptly. Isabella awaits you here. It's time you set a wedding date."
Nathaniel's brow furrowed at the mention of Isabella.
As he turned, his foot descended upon the delicate sphere.
A small voice piped up beside him. "Sir...you stepped on my crystal..."
Nathaniel looked down to find Charlotte gazing up at him with wide, tear-filled eyes.
The three-year-old barely reached his knees, a vision in her frilly princess dress and patent leather shoes - a perfect doll-like creature.
Something unfamiliar stirred in Nathaniel's chest. This tiny human was unbearably precious.
"Sir, my crystal..."
Nathaniel lifted his foot immediately. "My apologies, little one."
The damage was done - the sphere lay shattered beneath his shoe.
"You broke Mommy's present!" Charlotte's lower lip trembled as fat tears rolled down her cheeks.
Panic gripped Nathaniel. He crouched to her level, voice uncharacteristically gentle. "Please don't cry. I'll replace it, I promise."
Never had he witnessed such raw sorrow in something so small. Each tear felt like a dagger to his chest.
"But Mommy gave me this one!" Charlotte wailed, clutching the broken pieces. "It was special!"
