Chapter 635
Isabella would never surrender Nathaniel without a fight.
Since his return to Metropolia and taking control of Falcon Enterprises three years ago, he'd become the city's most formidable business magnate. His meteoric rise in the corporate world was unstoppable. Every socialite in the capital coveted his attention, dreaming of capturing his heart.
How could Isabella possibly let such a prize slip away?
A determined smile curved her lips as she met Victoria's gaze. "My heart belongs entirely to Nathaniel. I'll wait however long it takes for him to see that."
Victoria patted her hand approvingly. "You'll make the perfect daughter-in-law."
Isabella's smile deepened with satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel sat in his study reviewing documents when an unexpected image surfaced in his mind—a cherubic face with delicate features and sparkling eyes.
Charlotte.
The child had inexplicably taken root in his thoughts.
He'd never particularly cared for children before, yet since meeting Charlotte, he couldn't shake her from his memory.
She must be three years old now.
When Harrison left three years ago, she'd been pregnant. Had she given birth? Was it a boy or girl?
For three endless years, Nathaniel had thought of Harrison daily. When the longing became unbearable, torturous questions would plague him—was she with Oliver now? Were they playing happy family somewhere?
Each imagined scenario sent searing pain through his chest. He'd lost his woman.
A sharp knock interrupted his thoughts. "Mr. Falcon?" Dominic's voice called through the door.
Nathaniel straightened. "Enter."
His assistant stepped inside, placing a folder on the desk. "The guest list for tomorrow's Global Elite Summit. Your review is requested."
Nathaniel had returned from Florentia specifically for this event.
His finger paused on one unfamiliar name. "Jolin? Who is this? I don't recognize the name."
Dominic cleared his throat. "Our intelligence indicates she's the CEO behind Vitalis Health."
Nathaniel froze. The mysterious figure behind Vitalis Health was named Jolin?
Years ago in Stonebridge, he'd glimpsed this enigmatic woman in shadowed lighting—regal, poised, breathtakingly beautiful.
Never had he imagined her name was Jolin, nor that she'd appear at tomorrow's summit.
"Her attendance has caused quite the stir," Dominic added. "Everyone's eager to glimpse this female titan."
Understandable. Jolin had recently debuted on the Forbes Billionaires list, cementing her status as an industry powerhouse.
Nathaniel closed the folder with a nod. "Understood. I'll attend."
Dominic hesitated. "We've found no trace of Ms. Harrison in Florentia. It appears she's actively concealing her tracks. She doesn't wish to be found. Shall we continue searching?"
Three years of fruitless pursuit. Like chasing shadows across continents. Should he persist?
"Continue," Nathaniel commanded, steel in his voice. "I will find her."
Dominic bowed slightly. "As you wish."
Alone again, Nathaniel leaned back, Harrison's heart-shaped face floating before his eyes.
"Harrison... where are you hiding?"
The following morning...
As Nathaniel prepared for the summit, Victoria and Isabella arrived unannounced at his office.
"You're attending the Global Elite Summit today?" Victoria began smoothly. "Take Isabella with you."
