Chapter 96
Her lips met his in a sudden, electrifying kiss.
Nathaniel's eyes darkened to a dangerous crimson as he pushed her away abruptly. "Harrison!"
Harrison gazed up at him through her lashes, her expression deceptively innocent yet laced with playful defiance. "Aren't you going to answer Isabella's call?"
His jaw tightened before he crushed his mouth against hers again.
The persistent vibration of his phone filled the room - Isabella calling repeatedly. A thrill shot through Harrison, the forbidden nature of their embrace making her pulse race. Though legally married, this felt like stolen moments behind Isabella's back.
Nathaniel kissed her with punishing intensity, nipping at her swollen lips before claiming her breath in a storm of passion.
This little temptress - she knew exactly how to provoke him.
Theodore had been right - Harrison possessed an innate ability to seduce. Even as a girl, she'd attracted the worst kind of attention.
Her fingers slipped beneath his collar, tracing heated patterns across his skin.
Nathaniel broke away with a sharp inhale. "Harrison, are you serious?" His voice was rough with restraint.
Her cheeks burned with the flush of desire. "Don't you want this?"
That night at Rosewood Manor, he'd pinned her against the wall...
Neither had spoken of it since, yet neither could forget.
"Why?" Nathaniel's question came out hoarse.
Harrison held his gaze steadily. "Repayment for saving me today. After this, we're even." She needed to settle this debt between them.
His eyes burned with barely leashed hunger.
"Don't worry," she added, tracing his jawline. "This stays between us. Isabella won't hear a word."
At her words, something dangerous flickered in Nathaniel's darkened gaze.
Harrison pressed another featherlight kiss to his lips, mischief dancing in her eyes. "Nathaniel, I'm quite skilled at this... mmm!"
She meant every word. Years of medical training had taught her exactly how to please a man's body.
But her confession ignited something primal in Nathaniel. He claimed her mouth with unrestrained ferocity, losing himself completely in their passion.
When they finally came up for air, Nathaniel cradled Harrison against his chest, their bodies still thrumming with shared heat.
After a comfortable silence, Harrison stirred. "I need the bathroom."
"Let me carry you." His voice remained gravelly with spent desire.
"No, I'm fine."
As she tried to move away, Nathaniel reached for her, causing her to bump her forehead against the headboard in her haste to evade him.
"Ouch!" Harrison winced.
Nathaniel's large hand immediately cradled her head, his touch unexpectedly gentle. "Did I hurt you?"
She looked up to find his eyes still dark with passion, but now softened with concern.
So this was Nathaniel after intimacy - attentive and protective.
"I'm fine," Harrison murmured, melting into his embrace.
A sudden knock came from the adjoining wall - their neighbor again. Harrison froze.
Nathaniel smirked. The young man had doubted his stamina earlier. Now he'd been thoroughly proven wrong.
Pulling the blanket over them, Nathaniel took Harrison's hand. "Tired?"
